Sheriff’s Office make arrests following meth investigation

Morgan County Sheriff’s Office investigators made two drug-related arrests following a two week long investigation into the activity surrounding a Monticello Road, Madison residence.

According to Morgan County Sheriff’s Office reports, investigators arrested Lee Stone, 45, Madison after officers arrived at the residence to serve search warrants and allegedly located needles, spoons,  mirrors with methamphetamine residue in a bedroom used by Stone.

Stone was also charged with obstruction after he allegedly attempted to flee from officers when they arrived at the residence on Thursday, May 24 at 5:20 p.m. to serve the search warrants.

Reports state that officers deployed a taser on Stone as he tried to flee the residence. Officers located three grams of suspected methamphetamine in a locket Stone was wearing.

Stone was charged with possession of methamphetamine and obstruction.

Tonya Renee Whitlock, 34, Madison was also arrested during the investigation. Whitlock was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession and use of drug related objects and possession of marijuana, less than an ounce.

Reports state that officers allegedly found a pipe used for smoking methamphetamine, a torch lighter, a marijuana bong, a marijuana grinder, a plastic container with suspected methamphetamine residue and scales in a room occupied by Whitlock.

Jacquez Waymon, 24, Madison was arrested at the residence during the investigation and charged with a probation violation.

Reports state that the sheriff’s office had received numerous complaints regarding suspected drug activity at the residence.
