Ok y’all get ready to PARTY in Town Park! That’s right! Mark your calendar for the EVENT of the season! I’m talkin’ Madison Main Street’s Saturday in the Park – DJ Dance Party on September 22 from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. Whoa! Tickets are $10 for adults. Kids 18 and under are free when accompanied by an ADULT! Got that kids? No sneakin’ in or momma’s gonna slap you to Sunday and Back! I’ll see all y’all there! This is gonna be the dance party to end all dance parties!
Right! So let’s boogie on over to Rutledge and check out the shoppin’ scene! Ding dang! Markets on Main located at 119 East Main Street in Rutledge is flat fabulous! Ok y’all I LOVE this SHOP! It’s got a bit of everything! I’m talkin’ antiques, home accessories, collectibles, linens, quilts, lamps, mid-century modern furniture, paintings and more! Markets on Main was started by our very own Kim Bennett and you’ll find her at the shop on weekends and June Medford is there most days to help you find just what you’re lookin’ for! Plus you’ll find some absolutely fab purses from Joellen Artz’s booth that also has remnants from her former LilyBeth’s shop! But back to the purses . . . they are Myra Bags and are upcycled leather and canvas bags with some featuring cow hide! I LOVE THEM!
Angelina Bellebuono has a booth featuring her award winnin’ photography and fun, one-of-a-kind goat prints! Oh and another fave booth is from Tammy Bruce and her fabulous hand-carved wooden trays and wine bottle/glasses holders! And, you’ll flip over the hand painted silk scarves and artwork by Elizabeth Rockhill!
Right so hours for Markets on Main are most Thursdays from 10 til 4 and Friday and Saturday 10 til 4 and Sunday 12 til 4! Get over y’all! Monaray Powers and I found some great ding dang deals there last week! The prices are fantastic!
Oh and y’all I just popped into The Back Porch in Madison located at 119 West Jefferson Street next to Perk Avenue! You’re gonna flip when you see her new hand craved wooden bowls! They are a must-have and will make the perfect wedding or Christmas gift! And, now y’all owners Julie and Don Parsons have pulled out all the stops with a huge selection of authentic cow-hide rugs in a variety of colors and styles. I NEED ONE IMMEDIATELY!
