Barry Wilson Brown, 70, was born March 9, 1948 to the late Henry McWhorter and Susie Wilson-McWhorter of Madison. He died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2018.
He joined Flat Rock Baptist Church at an early age. He served two years with distinction as a United States Marine Motor Vehicle Operator. Before he was honorably discharged he was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal, the National Defense Medal and ranked as a Marine Corporal.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Susie McWhorter; brothers Albert, Steve and LC Brown and sister Paulette Cook.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his daughter McKeever White, grandsons Anternee and Devondray; great grandson Ryan D.; sisters Berdie Washington and Pearlie Clay; brothers Willie Brown; uncle Homer Patterson; brother-in-law Willie Cook and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were William Howell, Maurice Keeley, Stephen Mathis, Calvin Sanford, Jessie Sanford, Milton Sanford, Gregory White and Willie Laguin.
Flower Attendants were his nieces.
Funeral Service was Saturday, Sept. 8 at 1 p.m. in Flat Rock Baptist Church. The Rev. Charles Johnson, Pastor/Officiant. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Final Rites were entrusted to Watts Funeral Home, Inc.
