The Madison-Morgan Boys & Girls Club (MMBGC) is inviting you to come and enjoy a night with the stars. The Madison Stars specifically. The Seventh Annual Dancing with the Madison Stars (DWTMS) is back with 10 new sparkling groups who are sure to dance you right out of your seats the evening of November 8 at the Madison-Morgan Cultural Center Hall.
The dancers this year are as follows: Jeny Lauderdale and Avery Williams, Maddox and Mary Holis Pugmire, Sherree Evans and Terry Evans, The Fierce Foursome, Zach and Sydney Floyd, Fulton Pritchett and Taylor Faust, Denver Shelnutt and Crystal Pittman, Fetch House Trio, Marcus Wyatt and Allison Woodard, and Raul Otalora and Annapatricia Garcia. Expect to be entertained by a variety of dance styles from traditional salsa to Hip Hop.
With community involvement as great as this, it is no wonder MMBCG considers DWTMS to be their signature fundraising event.
“This fundraiser directly funds our daily operations within our Club and helps fund the summer program, which serves this entire community,” Rachel Ward, BGCNCG’s vice president of marketing. “What this means for our youth is keeping programs such as our First Tee initiative, a golfing experience that educates our youth in character and life skills, up and running. Without the support of this loving community our youth wouldn’t have the opportunities they have available to them presently.”
The evening will begin with the doors opening at 6 p.m. and a special performance by MMBGC Club members at 7 p.m. to get you ripe and ready for the dance competition at 7:20 p.m.
“The community gets to see first-hand their ‘why’ behind giving to our Club on this night and throughout the year,” Ward shared. “It’s heartwarming to see each of you join us in the mission of seeing our youth bloom into productive adults. This event also gives us an opportunity to let loose, dance a little, laugh a lot, and give to the most important cause there is – our youth. Expect plenty of wonderful performances from our dancers, who have been training for months now, and to leave feeling enriched. I’m so excited for everyone to experience this year’s dancers.”
The Club hopes to bring in at least $100,000 in funds this year, which is not far off from the total raised funds at last year’s DWTMS event.
Although the tables have been sold out, guests are still able to purchase entry tickets at $65 online at www.bgcng.com/dwms
