Coach Marcus Crowe is making quite an impact on the Middle School wrestling program in just his second year as the man in charge.  Athletic Director and wrestling coach Doug Connelly had this to say, “Marcus Crowe at MCMS  has really taken the Middle School program and run with it.  He’s building numbers and excitement with our younger program.  With no recreation wrestling program we don’t have a built-in system to feed our Middle School program. It’s just not there right now.  We’ve got to have a guy there who gets them excited about it and he has done that with 30 plus wrestlers in our feeder program.”

This past week the Middle School team started off their season with a scrimmage at Oglethorpe County November 6.  They finished out the week traveling to Georgia Military College (GMC) to compete in their annual Middle School Tournament.  According to Crowe, “We had a very good day finishing second as a team with a number of first through fourth place finishers.”

The Bulldogs finished the day with these winners in their respective weight classes :

Four first place finishers
Three second place finishers
Six third place finishers
Three fourth place finishers

Crowe noted, “We will have several matches this week including the Redskin Rumble Tournament at Social Circle on Saturday.”
