Oscar Franklin Hendrix, Jr., age 90 of Buckhead, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2018. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 67 years, Marie T. Hendrix; son, Kerry Franklin Hendrix; grandson, Jason Paul Dorsett; granddaughter, Ida Elaine Parker; siblings; Annie Mae Waters, Pauline Miller, Clyde Hendrix, Leroy Hendrix, Melba Epps, Theo Minick, and Samuel Hendrix; and son-in-law, Cleve Dorsett.
He is survived by his children, Vicki Dorsett, Harley Wayne Hendrix (Tina), Cindy Marie Parker (Larry), Janice Ruth Johns, Joseph Ryan Hendrix, and Oscar Franklin Hendrix III (Cheryl); 15 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; siblings, Bertha “Jeff” Duffie and Mary Evelyn “Dolly” Robertson; and many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.
The Graveside Service to honor and celebrate the life of Oscar Franklin Hendrix, Jr. was held on Tuesday, November 20, at 11 a.m. at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens, Snellville. A Memorial Service followed on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Beacon Heights Baptist Church, Madison.
