Billy Milton Garrison, age 79, of Madison, passed away Sunday, December 30, 2018 at Madison Health and Rehab. Born in Newton, Mississippi, on January 29, 1939, he was the son of the late William Brantley Garrison and Cora Nichols Garrison. Billy graduated from high school in Newton, Mississippi. He was married to the former Polly Anne Almand of Madison. He was a farmer and worked for Joe Bell Farm. He also worked in construction. He was a member of Liberty Community Church in Newton, Mississippi. Billy’s interest outside of family was fishing and hunting.
Survivors include his daughters, Beverly (Bruce) Peterson of Madison and Gail (Verner) Eaton of Madison; stepson, Jerry Vanwhy (Dianne) of Madison; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; brother, Leland Garrison of Newton, Mississippi; a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his wife, Polly Garrison, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Rhonda Lynn Garrison; a son, Charles Patrick Garrison; grandson, James Vanwhy; and siblings, Leon Garrison, Leonard Garrison, Cleo Garrison, Marjorie Slaide and Juanita Rainy.
