Mary Lou Powers, 64 of Greshamville, died January 10, 2019. Mrs. Powers was born September 10, 1954 to Weyman and Rosa Lee Aaron Stone. She was married to Rev. Wayne Powers on May 2, 1969. They lived in Monroe for many years before moving to Greshamville. Mrs. Powers was faithful as a pastor’s wife, serving alongside him at Freedom Worship Center. She enjoyed travelling to the mountains and beach. She loved her family and having them close to her. She even enjoyed trips with the grandchildren to Chuckee Cheese. Mrs. Powers will be remembered for her love and commitment to her family.
Mrs. Powers is survived by her husband Wayne and their daughters, Donna Lawrence and Charles, Kim Fuller and Mark, Krista Dodson and Keith, Tiffany Toler and Joe and Courtney Kennedy and Michael. She also leaves numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Powers was preceded in death by her brother, Beau Aaron.
The family received friends on Saturday, January 12 from 5-7 p.m. The funeral service was held on Sunday, January 13 at 1 p.m. at Freedom Worship Center. Entombment followed at Hill Haven Memorial Park in Monroe.
