It was a good week for the Morgan County Swim Dogs at the Johnson Park Swim Meet in Conyers.  Swimmers John Cardwell and the 200 free relay team qualified for the State Swim Meet to be held February 7-9.  Coach Jennifer O’Neal said, “I was proud that the boys relay team made State and John qualified in the 100 backstroke.  Natalie Rogers came within ½ of a tenth of making State as well in the 100 freestyle.  It was a big meet and we only had 15 swimmers with us.  I was impressed that we placed as high as we did.”  The relay team consisted of Cardwell, John Degarmo, Simon Leclaire, and Will Paschal.

Morgan finished in third place overall in the boys’ meet while the girls came in fourth out of eight teams.  Combined team scores had Morgan finishing in third place behind much larger Heritage and Rockdale County High Schools.
