Man jumps off bridge

A 68-year-old man jumped off of a bridge on Price Mill road by the Morgan County line, hitting the rocks below and landing in the river. According to reports, the man was holding a knife and exited his vehicle by the bridge. Two witnesses saw the victim head over to the bridge and put one leg over the rail, reports state. After one of the witnesses asked if the victim was all right, the man put his other leg over the railing. He paused on the lip of the bridge on the outside of the railing for a moment before letting go and falling into the river, according to the witnesses. Deputies at the scene helped keep the victim stabilized while emergency services were on their way, according to a Facebook post by the Oconee County Sheriffís Office.
