Clear skies prevailed for the annual two-day Firefly Festival last weekend in Madison’s Town Park.

The first evening, Friday, July 26, was all about the kids.

Children ran wild from activity to activity, enjoying icy treats, bouncy houses, arts and crafts, furry creatures, balloon animals and face painting.

The second evening, on Saturday, July 27 was geared for the adults to have a relaxing date night. Town Park was decorated with elegant lighting as couples and familes enjoyed music and dancing to the funky grooves of Sensational Sounds of Motown band.

Town Park was packed with families geared up with lawn chairs and coolers to enjoy a warm evening beneath the majestic columns of Town Park.

The City of Madison issued a special thanks to all the organizations that made this year’s Firefly Festival possible.

“Many thanks to our Firefly Presenting Sponsor, Main Street Vet for being such a faithful supporter! Thank you to Algin Realty, America’s Natural Gas of Madison, The Morgan County Citizen, Madison Christian Church, Triplett Chiropractic, and Juturna–Love Your Water.”
