Sometimes it’s a thankless job toiling down on the JV.  Sometimes it’s an unappreciated team for all the hard work, blood, sweat, and tears they put in.  This year’s younger volleyball squad has put together an exciting season with only three losses on their record.  It looks like the program is in great shape as they reload for the coming years.

Coach Jamie Williams told us, “The latest losses were in matches where the girls played at their highest level, but the close matches showed holes in our defense that will help them win out the season, including the season closing JV Tournament on October 5.

Major contributors on defense are Brooklynn Guinn, Captain Addy Christian and Anslie Schultz. The attack is led by all-around setter Chesley Paschal, hitters Morgan McCormack, Jesi Pye, and critical middle blockers Angel Binion and Amiya Brown.

Our starting players are backed up by a strong second string of players, ensuring the MOCO Volleyball program has many years of success to look forward to.”
