Over 6,000 people descended upon Bostwick’s Downtown for the Annual Cotton Gin Festival last Saturday.

Beneath clear blue skies amidst the crisp Fall weather, hoards of people lined the streets shouting and waving as a massive parade of tractors, firetrucks, and police vehicles slowly drove through town.

This year’s Cotton King, Marvin Ruark served as the parade’s grand mashall, leading the way through Downtown Bostwick.

Dozens of vendors set up camp selling crafts, food, and other local treasures.  Over 75 artists and crafters attended this year’s Cotton Gin Festival. Local BBQ was served as live music blared through the streets.

Children frolicked through nearby cotton fields and participated in other family-friendly activities.

Organizers were pleased with this year’s turnout and look forward to many more years of the annual Cotton Gin Festival.
