On Nov. 2 an affray complaint was filed at a Ponder Pines Road residence. According to reports, a 19-year-old woman said she was at the residence when a couple asked her to “get her stuff and go.” The woman alleged while she was gathering her belongings, the woman at the residence slapped her in the face. The man then allegedly punched the teen in the eye.
On Oct. 23 a bank fraud complaint was filed at a Prospect Road residence. According to reports, a man alleged that someone had taken $470 from his Bank of America bank account via a Western Union transfer. The complainant said he had contacted both his bank and Wester Union for resolve.
On Nov. 1 a theft by shoplifting complaint was filed at the River Store, Greensboro Road. According to reports, an employee reported that a white female entered the store and took a pink and black Bic lighter from the counter. The woman was described as small, with long blonde hair and glasses. She arrived in a Dodge Ram 2500 pickup truck. The incident was captured on video surveillance, reports state. The lighter is valued at $3.
On Nov. 1 Praquan Moore, 23, Madison was arrested and charged with speeding and possession of marijuana, less than an ounce. According to reports, a deputy performed a traffic stop near the Bostwick Highway and Sandy Creek Road intersection for allegedly speeding. Consequent to the traffic stop, reports state, the deputy allegedly smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle. The deputy had all occupants of the vehicle and asked if any had anything illegal. Javonte Dumas, 19, Madison allegedly told the deputy he had a bag of suspected marijuana in his pocket. Dumas was also arrested and charged with possession of marijuna, less than an ounce. Moore offered that there was a small amount of marijuana under the driver’s seat which the deputy then located.
On Oct. 31 a simple assault and terroristic threats and acts complaint was filed at the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office. According to reports, a woman alleged that after he boss had dropped her off at a work site alone, he then, while she was getting a can of paint, allegedly grabbed her by the sweater and tried to drag her into the house. The woman said the man allegedly threatened to rape her. She contacted law enforcement after she left the job site, reports state.
On Oct. 28 a 15-year-old female was arrested and charged with battery at Morgan County High School, College Drive. According to reports, the teen allegedly followed a girl to the bus pickup area and was allegedly trying to incite a fight. After the girl walked away, reports state, the teen grabbed her by the head and pummeled her head and neck area with punches before throwing her to the ground and punching her in the head again. She then walked away. Investigators reviewed the incident on video and contacted the Juvenile Department of Justice.
