An old tradition lives on in the new hospital. The 2019 Love Light Tree annual fundraiser is in full swing, the Morgan Medical Center invites the community to honor their loved ones with a special ornament to be displayed on the hospital Christmas tree. Participants are invited to attend the annual hospital tree lighting ceremony on  Thursday, Dec. 5 at 5:30 p.m at the Morgan Medical Center.

“During this season of gratitude and joy the Morgan Medical Auxiliary invites you to honor your loved ones with an ornament to be displayed on our 2019 Love Light Tree in the lobby of Morgan Medical Center for our community to enjoy throughout the holiday season,” said a statement from Morgan Medical Center. The Love Light Tree Celebration is an annual event and serves as one of the hospital’s premier fundraisers of the year. This event gives donors the perfect chance to give to a worthy cause while paying homage to lost loved ones. Participants can purchase lights and ornaments on the tree for $25, $50, or $100.

“Honorees will receive a card acknowledging your thoughtful generosity,” said the hospital statement.

All of the proceeds will go toward funding the needs of the hospital.“All funds raised by the auxiliary through the Love Light and the Festival of Friends fundraisers go to support the current needs at Morgan Medical Center. Auxiliary membership works in conjunction with hospital administration to select the specific needs to fund,” explained Megan Morris, directory of development and community relations.

“We consider it an honor to be the beneficiary of an event that reflects the true heart of our community…standing together to honor and remember those individuals who continue to mean so much.”
