On Dec. 1 a damage to property complaint was filed at Red Roof Inn, Eatonton Road. According to reports, an officer was dispatched to the motel regarding a man bleeding. Reports state that a 42-year-old man told the officer he had cut his hand after punching a picture frame. The man said he was upset at the time of the punch.

On Nov. 28 a theft of lost or mislaid property complaint was filed at Walmart, Eatonton Road. According to reports, a Walmart employee reported that she had left her Samsung Note 10 Plus phone in the restroom and when she returned to get the phone, it was gone. The phone is valued at $650.

On Nov. 29 a financial transaction card fraud complaint was filed at a Pearl Street residence. According to reports, a man alleged that someone had made a $763 withdrawal from a pre-loaded financial card on which the man obtains disability payments. The charge was made in Brunswick, he said.

On Nov. 29 Quintoz Laminate Blevins, 21, Sumter, S.C. was arrested and charged with carrying a concealed weapon and terroristic threats and acts. According to reports, a vehicle in which Blevins was a passenger was stopped on Interstate 20 for speeding. Consequent to the stop, the vehicle was impounded for lack of insurance and all four passengers were offered a ride to the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office. During a pat-down search prior to allowing the four individuals into a patrol car, an officer allegedly located a Glock handgun in Blevins waistband. Blevins was then handcuffed and arrested. Reports allege that during the ride to the detention center Blevins said “as soon as the handcuffs come off, I’m going to try to kill all y’all.”

On Nov. 26 a missing adult complaint was filed at a Pilot Truck Stop, Eatonton Road. According to reports, a man said he was trying to locate his 56-year-old mother and that he and other family members had received phone calls from the woman that was suicidal in nature. The last contact anyone had with the missing woman was at 1:47 a.m. at the truck stop. At 8 a.m. the woman was found in good health.
