There is a new “Pop-Up” Art Gallery in downtown Madison featuring the artwork of Madison’s very own local artist, Chris Cook, owner of Madison Studios.

Cook is an American artist, born in Atlanta, who is considered a Southern Artist and Expressionist. He has had art exhibits all over the state of Georgia and his artwork is even featured in museums. The Jubilee Museum located in Columbus, Ohio and the Georgia Writers Museum in Eatonton.

Chris enjoys painting with a Southern outlook. He paints spiritual and religious pieces, famous people, landscape, and biblical genres.

“What really sets me apart from other artists is that I paint such a wide variety,” says Cook. Most of the pieces featured in the Pop-Up show are some that may have never been seen before or have not been seen in a really long time. Cook has around 30 different pieces of artwork in the Pop Up Gallery which are all for sale. There are larger and smaller paintings as well as print options for purchasing which allows for a scale of price points.

“I selected the pieces to give a variety of options to customers,” he explains. The Pop-Up Gallery will be open for just one month, closing in January of 2020. Enjoy his art work while sipping on a glass of wine or beer. There will also be other refreshments and snacks. Part of the proceeds will go to benefit the non-profit organization Companion Animal Rescue.

The Pop-Up Gallery is located at 207 W. Jefferson Street in downtown, Madison next to Town Park.

If there are any questions, you can swing by the Gallery or call 706-342-7434.
