It was a solid week for the MOCO basketball girls going 2-1.  Wins over Jackson County 54-39 and Tucker High School 45-42 highlighted the action with a loss on Saturday to Carver Columbus 87-51 to end the week in the Peach State Holiday Classic at Westlake.

The wins moved the Lady Dogs to 6-7 overall and 3-2 in 8-AAA play with the Jackson County victory. The girls played their third and final contest of the tournament this past Monday.  Results of that contest were unknown at press time.

Morgan County will finish up the 2019 portion of the schedule this coming week at the Classic City Clash hosted by North Oconee High School before returning from the Christmas break.  They will play North Oconee on Dec. 27 and River Ridge (Woodstock) on Dec. 28. The heart of the region schedule will start on January 3 vs. Monroe Area on the road.
