A domestic violence call resulted in the arrest of a Morgan County man for drug possession.
On Dec. 30, Morgan County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call reporting a physical domestic altercation but when police arrived, the male subject had departed the residence. The male subject, Deyondray White, 19, was reported to be driving a black Ford Explorer and headed towards Madison on Greensboro Highway.
Morgan County officer Stubbs located and pulled White over and quickly detected a marijuana odor. Officer Stubbs then asked White to step out of the vehicle to perform a search where he discovered a plastic bag of white substance under the driver’s seat which was believed to be cocaine. Upon further search, a white pill believed to be Acetaminophen and Oxycodone Hydrochloride was found in the front cupholder in addition to more white powder substance.
A bag of marijuana was found behind the driver’s seat along with a scale, used to weigh narcotics. In addition to the drugs found in White’s car, there was over $300 cash in the car and an open container of Corona in the driver side cupholder.
White was charged with Battery FVA from the initial domestic altercation call in addition to possession of drugs with intent to distribute.
