Harold Neal “Hal” Ruark

Harold Neil “Hal” Ruark, 63 of Bostwick, died January 30, 2020 after a brief illness.  Hal was born April 18, 1956 to Thomas Ruark and Wynelle Callaway Ruark.  He was married to Jerri Vickery and they made their home in Bostwick.  Hal worked as a foreman for Pike Electric.  He was a long-time member of Gibbs Memorial Baptist Church. Hal enjoyed farming and loved to spend time with his grandchildren.  

Hal Ruark is survived by his wife, Jerri Ruark and son, Jason Ruark and daughter, Anna Clark and Ryan.  His grandchildren are Jack Thomas Ruark, Reid Morgan Ruark, Hallie Clark, Kenley Clark, and Raelyn Clark.  Hal is also survived by his mother, Wynelle Ruark and siblings, Charles Thomas Ruark, Jr. and Tassie and Laura Ruark Snow and Danny.  He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas and a brother, Lee Ruark.

The family received friends on Saturday, February 1 at A.E. Carter Funeral Home from 5-7 p.m.  The funeral service was held on Sunday, February 2 at 2 p.m. at Gibbs Memorial Baptist Church.  Interment followed at the Bostwick Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Gibbs Memorial Baptist Church Building Fund.
