Two men face drug distribution charges after Madison Police Department officers responding to a suspicious vehicle complaint on Meadow Ridge Drive allegedly found nearly 100 suspected ecstasy pills along with digital scales, individually packaged suspected marijuana and a large bag of suspected marijuana.
Reports state that Samir Johnny Omar Graham, 20, Greensboro, faces charges of possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of marijuana more than an ounce, possession of drug related objects and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
Markable Kaseen Murray, 26, Covington, faces charges of possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of drug related objects, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, giving false name and possession of a scheduled 1 substance.
Reports state that on Saturday, March 21, an officer was called to a Meadow Ridge residence for a complaint about persons congregating at a condemned residence. When officers arrived, reports state, they observed Graham sitting in the driver’s seat of a 2010 Chrysler 200 parked in front of the residence. Murray, reports state, was a passenger in the vehicle.
An officer noted that there was allegedly a smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The officer initially questioned both Graham and Murray regarding marijuana in the vehicle and both denied that there was marijuana in the vehicle. Graham then allegedly handed the officer a small bag of suspected marijuana. Graham was then handcuffed and detained. Murray exited the vehicle and officers searching the vehicle then allegedly found a Crown Royal bag on the passenger’s side that allegedly contained 10 individually clear plastic bags of suspected marijuana and 98 suspected ecstasy pills.
Officers also located a set of digital scales in Murray’s pocket and a bag of suspected marijuana in Graham’s front pocket. Another set of digital scales was located in the driver’s side door.
In the trunk, reports state, officers located a small bag and a large bag of suspected marijuana. A Taurus 9mm handgun was also located on the back passenger floorboard. At the Morgan County Detention Center, officers determined that Murray had given them incorrect personal information. Reports state that Murray said he provided incorrect information because he had an outstanding arrest warrant.
