Christi Grace is a Rutledge local and the author of “My Hair-Raising and Heartwarming Adventures as a Pet Sitter” who left the corporate world to pursue to her passion of animals. She spent nearly 15 years caring for animals of all types and sizes. Each of the animals she cared for holds stories that reveal truths about a relationship with God.

Before Grace devoted her life to pet care, she worked as a project manager at Walt Disney World in Florida.

“It was a great job but the stress of it all became a bit much and I decided to leave,” says Grace, “I always wanted to have a farm anyways.”

After leaving Walt Disney World, Grace and her husband Jeff moved to a a farm in Newnan, Ga.

“I wanted to have every animal in the world,” says Grace, “but that wasn’t too practical so I decided to start taking care of other peoples’ animals.”

Grace has cared for every animal from goats, to roosters, to dogs, to horses and everything in between and says that each has taught her a valuable lesson in her walk with God.

Her book dives in deep to the animals she’s crossed paths with and the mark they’ve left on her. Her emotional bond to these animals and by extension, their owners, is greatly unique and special to her.

Grace remarks that her faith is the most important thing in the world to her and is grateful to have fused together her love for God with her love for animals to create this book.

Her book, “My Hair-Raising and Heartwarming Adventures as a Pet Sitter” was released in February and is available for purchase on Amazon, GoodReads, Barnes & Noble and Target.

Grace and her husband have resided in Rutledge for the last three years with their three horses and four dogs.

This book is a must read for animals lovers or for anyone who needs some inspiration in their faith.
