An apparent lack of sauces in a McDonald’s order is leading to the arrest of one woman and juvenile complaints being filed for aggravated assault against a 16-year-old girl.
According to Madison Police Department reports, Kenya Shanell Rivers, 28, Madison entered the restaurant on Eatonton Road at noon after ordering food in the drive-through. Reports state that Rivers approached the front counter and said, “Y’all (expletive) didn’t give me my sauces.” A 15-year-old McDonald’s employee told her manager she thought she had put the sauces in the bag.
A manager, reports state, inquired to the type of sauces Rivers wanted and began to place the sauces in the bag. Rivers then allegedly threatened the juvenile employee, stating, “little (expletive), you know me, I’ll beat your (expletive).”
The manager then demanded that Rivers leave the restaurant, reports state, which she did while allegedly cursing at the manager.
The juvenile McDonald’s worker then left the restaurant to deliver food to a customer outside and, reports state, Rivers again accosted the teen. She allegedly told the teen that she would get a 16-year-old accomplice to come to the restaurant to beat the teen. A manager allegedly heard the threat and directed the teen employee back into the restaurant and demanded that Rivers leave the premises.
Approximately one hour later, reports state, Rivers returned with a 16-year-old female who entered the restaurant, saw the manager and said “where that (expletive) at?” regarding the teen employee. The manager demanded that the 16-year-old leave, however, threatened the manager allegedly stating “I don’t care who you are, I will beat your (expletive) too.”
Rivers, reports state, and another woman then grabbed the 16-year-old and pushed her to the front of the restaurant. The 16-year-old then grabbed a chair and threw it at the manager and spat on the manager, reports state.
A juvenile complaint for aggravated assault and disorderly conduct has been filed against the 16-year-old female. Arrest warrants have been taken against Rivers for disorderly conduct and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
