Morgan County is known for its many annual Fourth of July Celebrations to honor the founding of the United State of America.

Every year, local citizens gather as a community to don patriotic attire, sing patriotic songs, and huddle close with loved ones beneath sparkling fireworks lighting up the night sky.

But this year, all the community Independence Day events were cancelled due to the ongoing threat of the coronavirus pandemic.

This year families may have had to celebrate in a more solitary fashion, but that doesn’t mean we can’t share those celebrations to enjoy as a community.

Here are some of the way families chose to celebrate America’s birthday over the Fouth of July weekend.

Happy Independence Day to all our readers and a special thank you to all who submitted pictures of special moments from the holiday.
