On July 15 Corey Wright, 51, Madison was arrested and charged with criminal trespass, public drunkeness and disorderly conduct. According to reports, officers were dispatched to a call of a man refusing to leave a Mulgrave Drive apartment. When officers arrived, reports state, a woman alleged that Wright had become verbally abusive after she told him to leave and he refused to leave. An officer noted that Wright appeared to have an inability to walk steadily and had slurred speech. As officers were guiding Wright from the premises and in front of children, he allegedly began to urinate. At that point he was arrested.

On July 16 an information report was filed at an East Jefferson Street residence. According to reports, a woman alleged that a man with whom she has a court order against contacting her had, in fact, called her multiple times. The woman showed an officer, reports state, her phone where the man had called her six times. While the officer was on the scene the man called the woman twice. The woman also alleged the man would show up on her property at different times both day and night. 

On July 11 a theft by taking complaint was filed at the Morgan County Public Safety Complex, Monticello Road. According to reports, a man said on June 22 he and another man drove to the public safety center she that the complainant could attend a criminal hearing and, as a result of that hearing, serve time in the detention center. Consequent to the complainant completing his service on July 7 the man was supposed to return in the complainant’s vehicle and pick him up. Reports state the man never returned and has ignored text messages and phone calls and has kept the vehicle.

On July 11 a simple assault complaint was filed at Waffle House, Eatonton Road. According to reports, a Waffle House employee alleged that at 2:40 a.m. a male customer became rude and verbally abusive. Reports state when the employee demanded that the man leave, the man allegedly hit her in the face with a cup filled with both ice and a beverage. The suspect then fled the restaurant and left in a grey mini-van.
