MOCO’s 2020 Cross- Country season got off and running this past Saturday with a meet at Loganville Christian Academy.  Girls’ Coach Erin Spinks said, “The girls had a solid race.  The weather was perfect for the first meet of the season, cooler and overcast.  The course, however, was a bit of a challenge because of all the mud and wet spots along the way so I feel like they could not compete at full potential.  Drew Biersmith finished first for our girls’ team with EllaRyan Cottrell following right behind.  Our JV girls looked good and competed where they had been learning to pace during workouts.

We have to put some work in this week and next to get ready for our home meet on Aug. 29.  We are adding mileage and working on strength.  It was a great start to the season.  I can’t wait to see how well these girls improve each week.”
