A Buckhead man has been arrested and charged with child molestation.

According to Morgan County Sheriff’s Office reports, Eric Ashley Holland, 39, was arrested on Saturday, Nov. 28 at his Baldwin Dairy Road residence.

Reports state that at approximately 11 p.m. a Morgan County Sheriff’s Office deputy arrived at the residence in response to relative’s allegation that Holland had molested an 11-year-old female. The relative alleged that Holland was in the back yard of the house and had threatened to harm himself.

The deputy called for backup and located Holland sitting on the floor of the house. Holland denied threatening to harm himself. He was handcuffed and detained and moved to an outdoor chair in the back yard of the residence.

A member of the Morgan County Investigations Division arrived and spoke with a woman at the residence who alleged that the juvenile had accused Holland of molesting her on two occasions. The woman also provided the investigator with audio tape of her and Holland arguing regarding the incidents. Reports allege that in the recording Holland admits to one of the alleged two incidents.

After the deputy heard the recordings he informed the investigator that he was going to make an arrest. Holland was then transported to the Morgan County Detention Center.
