On Dec. 30, a financial transaction card fraud report was filed by a local woman. According to reports, the victim reported fraudulent charges from her checking account at United Bank including five charges that totaled $934.
On Jan. 4, an Eatonton woman was arrested for possession of marijuana after being pulled over for a speeding violation. According to reports, Keasha Farley was stopped for speeding on the GA 24 bypass. Subsequent to a search of her vehicle, officers discovered marijuana in a Zyrtec Allergy pill bottle located in an open compartment. Farley was cited for speeding at 65 in a 45 mph zone and for a window tint violation and placed under arrest for the possession of marijuana.
On Jan. 9, officers responded to the Love’s Truck Stop about a possible intoxicated driver. They made contact with a 44-year-old Greensboro woman parked in front of the store’s entrance. According to reports, officers recognized the odor of alcohol coming from her breath and she later admitted to pouring vodka into a water bottle in the car. She was arrested for DUI and possession of an open container and transported to the hospital for a blood test before being taken to the Morgan County Detention Center.
On Jan. 9, officers received a complaint of threatening phone calls from a Micha Way residence. According to reports, the victim stated a man was making multiple calls that she perceived as threats against her life. Officers were able to connect in on a conversation to monitor the call and proceeded to make contact with the caller at his Morgan Circle residence and advised him to stop contacting the woman.
