On February 7, 2021, Matthew David Oliver, Sr., beloved husband and father, passed away at the age of 40. Matt was born in Lilburn, Georgia in 1980 to Mitch and Debbie Oliver. In 2004, he married his best friend, Kristy Wood, and shortly thereafter they settled in Buckhead where he lived the rest of his life. Matt was employed by Grant Thornton as a Healthcare Consultant and was the type of colleague and boss everyone should strive to be; he truly cared about the people he worked with and those who worked for him. He was a member of Madison Baptist Church.

Matt was a devoted family man who enjoyed nothing more than watching his children succeed in their various activities and sports. He was an avid traveler and loved visiting both new and familiar locations. His favorite tradition was taking his family to a new vacation spot each Christmas. He had an adventurous spirit and always encouraged his family and friends to try new things. He was generous with his time and was always ready to jump in and help if a friend was in need. He will always be remembered for his infectious smile, his sense of humor, his ability to have a song lyric for any conversation and his genuine and compassionate heart. He lived life to the fullest and will be missed immensely.

Matt is survived by his wife, Kristy, their sons, Charles Grady Oliver, 12, and Matthew David Oliver Jr., 10, his parents, Mitch and Debbie Oliver of Lilburn, his sister Elizabeth Tasker (Brian) of Statham, a niece, a nephew, an extremely large extended family and an extensive list of friends.

At this time, there are no public funeral services planned.
