On Dec. 10, Jared Lee Stargell, 29, Covington, was arrested and charged with tampering with evidence, obstruction, possession of marijuana, DUI, possession of an open alcohol container and failure to maintain lane. According to reports, officers were called to a single car incident on Interstate 20 and found Stargell standing next to the driver’s door to a vehicle in the median. On Dec. 10, Harold Brian O’Kelley, 58, Madison, was arrested and charged with DUI, failure to report striking a fixed object and striking an unattended vehicle. According to reports, O’Kelley allegedly struck a landscaping boulder at a North Main Street residence and then left his 2003 BMW at the scene of the accident. Reports state that a witness spoke with O’Kelley after the 4:18 p.m. incident. The witness then identified O’Kelley from his license photograph. The former chief executive officer of the Boys & Girls Club of North Central Georgia has been arrested and charged with stealing nearly $50,000 from the organization. Landers Thomas, 51, Norcross, turned himself into Morgan County authorities on Friday, Nov. 17, four days after an arrest warrant was taken by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI). According to reports, a couple attempted to purchase an advertised 2014 Look Vision 7’x12’ enclosed trailer from a woman on Craigslist.
