On Aug. 30 a theft by taking warrant was issued against Quaneesha Shanice Robbins, 22, Greensboro. According to reports, an employee at Pilot Travel Center alleged that at 7:20 a.m. while Robbins was employed at the Eatonton Road truck stop she removed one from a cash drawer and placed it in her pocket. On Sept. 13 Melissa Faith Demmons, 32, Hope Mills, N.C. was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drugs not  its original container, possession of adderall and possession of olanzapine and dextoamphetaine. According to reports, a deputy was dispatched to Interstate 20 regarding a reckless driver. The deputy located the 2020 Mercedes SUV on the side of the road with Demmons in the passenger seat. According to reports, a woman alleged that at 11 p.m. she and a male relative we’re having an argument on the front porch of the residence. According to reports, a woman said someone had used Cash App to make four transactions, draining $2,069 from her account. On Aug. 23, a damage to property complaint was filed at the Hightower Road railroad crossing. According to reports,  a tanker style truck was stuck on the railroad crossing. A crane was at the scene when the deputy arrived to attempt to lift the truck off the crossing but failed. CSX, reports state, had been notified and all train traffic had been stopped. According to Morgan County Sheriff’s Office reports, both Buckhead Manor and Whispering Lakes subdivisions had multiple car break-ins resulting in the loss of thousands of dollars in cash and the loss of at least four firearms. Reports state that on Friday, sometime between 3 a.m. and 7 a.m. 17 vehicles in Whispering Lakes subdivision were entered.
