On Jan. 21, an aggravated cruelty to animal complaint was filed at an Oconee Road, Buckhead, residence. According to reports, a man and woman said when they went outside to let their dog out of its pen, the dog crawled to them. Reports state that the dog had been shot in the right eye. By Patrick Yost Editor  A Morgan County Roads and Bridges employee found a red bag on the side of Dixie Highway that, authorities claim, contained marijuana and numerous narcotics including opioids. According to Morgan County Sheriff’s Office reports, the employee contacted Morgan County Dispatch to report that the he had located a red bag, opened it and observed narcotics in the bag. According to reports, a woman told a deputy that someone had damaged a rim and tire on her 2009 Tahoe. The woman said she noticed the passenger side front tire was flat. On Jan. 10, Gary Barnard Robinson, 54, of Madison, was arrested for failure to report an accident with injuries and driving under the influence. According to reports, officers were called to an accident on Creekpoint Drive where a driver had wrecked into a parked car and bystanders said he was still hitting the gas. According to reports, the manager on duty said the store used battery storage cage had been damaged and all batteries had been removed.
