On Nov. 19, deputies responded to an incident involving damage to property on Interstate 20 near mile marker 114. According to reports, the 53-year-old complainant was leaving work in Madison and entered Interstate 20 where she subsequently struck an unknown object in the roadway. On Nov. 7, an informational report was filed in reference to a possible deceased subject at Bohlen’s Garage on Fairground Road. According to reports, officers were alerted by an employee at a local  restaurant who had become familiar with the male subject, identified as John Elder, stating he was a daily customer and she often bought meals for him due to him being homeless. On Nov. 9, a missing person report was filed for Kayla Frazee, 29, of Rutledge. According to reports, Debra Frazee stated she hasn’t heard from her daughter since Oct. 28 when she allowed Kayla to drive her vehicle to north Georgia. She alleges that Kayla last made contact with the family on Nov. 6, telling her brother she was in Athens and needed money. No contact has been made since that interaction, according to reports. On Oct. 5, Deontae Ques Carter, 20, of Hephzibah, was arrested for possession of marijuana, less than one ounce. According to reports, officers performed a traffic stop on a yellow Camaro I-20 for speeding. Officers state there was a strong smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle and they asked the driver, Elijah Alston and his passenger, Carter, to exit the vehicle. On Oct. 28, a verbal dispute between brothers on Centennial Road in Rutledge led to a heated police intervention without arrests. According to reports, a woman said she had been incarcerated at the Morgan County Detention Center for three days and after her release a girlfriend’s boyfriend called her after he allegedly climbed through a window of her residence and then showed her a live feed of the house burning. On Oct. 12 Ashton Cole Ledbetter, 29, Birmingham, Al. was arrested and charged with giving false name. According to reports, deputies responded to a suspicious person complaint at the Valero convenience store, Newborn Road.  A clerk at the store reported that Ledbetter had been hanging around the store since its opening. A deputy located Ledbetter walking onto the Interstate 20 eastbound ramp. Ledbetter allegedly told the deputy his name was Cole Sharp. On Oct. 3 a burglary complaint was filed at an Eatonton Road residence. According to reports, a woman said that when she and a moving crew were at the residence she noticed that approximately 30 guns had been removed from a gun safe.
