According to reports, a woman alleged that while she and her boyfriend were at a local cemetery, they both ingested methamphetamine. Tommy Joe Byrd, 55, has been moved from a Walton County Detention Center to the Morgan County Detention Center and remains incarcerated. Byrd initially was charged with tampering with evidence in the Monday, May 4 stabbing. On May 3, an aggravated stalking complaint was filed at a Commerce Street residence. According to reports, an officer arrived at a vacant residence next door to the residence and observed a vehicle registered to a man who had been served with a temporary protective order against a woman living in the Commerce Street residence. According to reports, a man alleged that he had both his local bank and a national credit card company contact him and tell him that someone was using his accounts to make fraudulent charges.
