On Sept. 10 a simple assault complaint was filed at a Bramblewood Drive residence. According to reports, a man alleged that while his nephew was at his apartment, the nephew alleged that the man’s girlfriend was the reason the man’s bed had bed bugs. The complainant said an argument ensued because he was defending his girlfriend’s hygiene and the nephew choked him. On Sept. 15 a driving away without paying for gas complaint was filed at Country Store convenience store, Bostwick Highway. According to reports, an employee said a man known to him as a customer pulled up to the pumps. The employee said he turned the pumps on and the man put 15.73 gallons of gas worth $37.43 into his white, 1990s model Chevrolet Tahoe. On Sept. 5 Jaymeshia Flowers, 18, Sparta, was cited for shoplifting and served with a criminal trespass notice at Walmart, Eatonton Road. According to reports, an officer was called to Walmart regarding an employee allegedly voiding three transactions for a total of approximately $130. Reports state that Flowers told an investigator that she had voided one transaction after a customer did not have a payment card and that she paid for a small portion of the customer’s purchase. On Sept. 8 Justin John Anderson, 29, Madison was arrested and charged with theft by taking, loitering and public drunkeness. According to reports, a deputy was dispatched to the Atlanta Highway, Rutledge area in regards to a man on a bicycle at 5 a.m. riding in the middle of the road. On Aug. 30, a revised shoplifting and giving false name report was re-filed with the Madison Police Department. According to reports, following an earlier report charging Deondra Letetra Jackson, 27, with giving false name following an alleged shoplifting, an officer was contacted by Deondra Jackson who told the officer that a Daniell Faust, no age, no address given, had called her and told her she had used her name during the arrest. On Aug. 11 Grant Small, 31, White Plains was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, less than an ounce and improper lane change. According to reports, a Madison Police Department officer was contacted by Morgan County Dispatch regarding an erratic driver on Eatonton Road. The officer made contact with a vehicle matching the description and, reports state, observed the vehicle making lane changes without signaling. According to reports, a man alleged that a neighbor had damaged part of his property, including trees, with a bulldozer while clearing land. Reports state that the complainant showed a deputy property markers that had been damaged or removed by an earth mover. According to reports, an employee alleged that three males took three gift cards from the main cashier area of the store and went to the garden center.
