According to reports, at 3 p.m. a deputy responded to the Bulldog BP, Monticello Road and met with Hamerter regarding an allegation that Sawyer, her boyfriend, had taken her cell phone and refused to return the phone. On July 8 a found property compliant was filed at a Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Mt. Zion Road. According to reports, a man said that when he and and a second man arrived at church at 9:30 a.m. they observed an opened yellow envelope and a brown cardboard box on the back doorstep of the church.
