Harrison B. Stone Jr, 87, of Madison, passed away Friday, April 26, 2013. A native of Pickens County, Mr. Stone was the son of the late Harrison B. Stone Sr. and Donie Brooks Stone and was preceded in death by his wife, Nera Mae West Stone. He retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation and was a member of Damascus Baptist Church in Fairmount. Imogene Moon Martin, 96, of Madison, died June 19, 2013. She was born May 26, 1917 in Walton County to James and Jessie Whitley Moon. She was married to the late John Boline Martin. She was a homemaker and spent her life caring for others. Mrs. Martin was a member of the Madison First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening and walking and loved her neighbors. Bobby Lamar Ervin, 63, of Madison died June 15, 2013. He was the son of the late Joe and Georgia Belle Brown Ervin. He worked in the logging business and landscape maintenance. He is survived by a sister Joyce Christine Leitch and a number of nieces and nephews. His family received friends at A. E. Carter Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 20. Interment was in the Buckhead Cemetery.

Jim Wood, 76, of Madison died June 17, 2013. He was born in Rush Springs, Oklahoma on May 26, 1937 to James and Margie Wood. He worked as a machinist at Georgia Pacific until retirement in 2004. He was married to Jan H. Jenkins. Mr. Wood enjoyed any outdoor activity. He loved to hunt and fish as well as time spent on horse. He will be remembered as a man who could build or fix anything.
