Given the resulting proliferation of grass and weeds on my plantation I thought it a propitious moment in history to discuss the effects of this dramatic climate shift and briefly discuss the history of grass cutting as it applies to your average guy. Up front I should say that my summer, …

Editor Sports, Sports Columns Leave a Comment

And I think a lot of people feel the same way about close games. Just this past Saturday in Athens, an semi-reliable eyewitness – cough, cough, Citizen photographer Jesse Walker – claimed that people were stopping their cars in …

By Nick Nunn I know that I write about the weather and the changing seasons a little bit too much in my sport columns, but, sitting out at games, it really does make a huge difference in how much I am able to enjoy the experience. So, if you would, indulge me once more and then I’ll try to hold off on it for a while. For the past week or so, it has felt absolutely wonderful outside. By Alvin Richardson Deer season is underway for the archery guys and just around the corner is opening day for the hunters who favor smoke poles (muzzle loaders) and traditional firearms. With that in mind I thought it an opportune time to send along a few tips about your hunting camp excursions.
